June 12

It started raining as soon as I went out. The rain was heavy through the morning, then gradually eased off.

In the morning, I went to the subdistrict office to pick up the social security card for Little Piglet. By the time I got to the company, another downpour had started.

In the morning, I drove Jasmine to the hospital for her physical exam. Since we were already going that way, I also stopped by the social security bureau to handle the hospitalization reimbursement paperwork for Little Piglet.

We left home at 8:30 and arrived near the hospital at 9:15. I parked by the roadside. Just as I was walking up to the entrance of the social security bureau, it began pouring outside.

The whole process was surprisingly simple. There was no line at all; I was the only person there. I handed over the required documents and filled out an application form. The materials included the invoice, expense list, diagnosis certificate, discharge record, birth certificate, social security card, ID card, and household registration booklet. This time the reimbursement was processed under Jasmine’s social security account, following the mother. The reimbursed amount will later be transferred to the bank account linked to the social security card.

It only took a little over ten minutes. By the time I finished, Jasmine had also completed her physical exam. After that, we went to the bank to activate the card account.

After lunch at home, we planned to make dumplings in the afternoon, so Jasmine and I went to the supermarket to buy cabbage and lean pork.

We made dumplings for dinner. Little Bear ate a lot.

In the evening, we went to look at an apartment. It was on the seventh floor, the top floor. The renovation was quite nice, but it was just too high up.

The sky was overcast. After hearing about the apartment we had seen yesterday, my colleagues all said the floor was too high and told me to think it over carefully.

By the afternoon, I changed my approach and decided to look at second-hand apartments near home instead. I contacted several real estate agents.

Friday. After dinner, Jasmine and I took Little Bear out.

Jasmine and Little Bear went to Beihai for Japanese food. They used a credit card promotion that reduced the bill by 50 yuan, so the final cost was just over 20 yuan.

After eating, we went to Mannings. Using promotions of 30 minus 20, 6 minus 5, and another 6 minus 5, we bought three separate orders of things.

June 17

It rained heavily for both days of the weekend, a full two days of rain. We had originally planned to go out and look at apartments, but that had to be put aside.

After Jasmine woke up a little after 3 p.m., she realized she was extremely hungry and suggested going to KFC. So Jasmine, Little Bear, and I went there and ordered a family bucket. Jasmine ate about two-thirds of it.

Afterward, we went next door to the book center and read for about half an hour.

It was still raining hard today, and we stayed home all day.

I bought Little Bear a Huohuo Rabbit story player.
