Skip getting in shape in April, and May will make you regret it. The proof? Last summer’s clothes no longer fit!!!
A workout plan, again
Every so often, I draw up a new exercise plan. Sticking to one is another matter entirely.
With my body fat far too high, I’ve decided to start with Pamela Reif’s HIIT workouts and Li Xian’s HIIT routine on Keep.
I’ve done the Li Xian workout more than a dozen times before. One round is enough to leave me drenched in sweat, and I get to watch Li Xian while I’m at it! I’m not even a fan, but who doesn’t appreciate a handsome face? My legs usually ache the next day, though.
Yesterday, I tried Pamela’s popular 20-minute fat-burning workout for the first time. Honestly, its popularity was the whole reason I wanted to give it a go.
For at least five of those twenty minutes, I could barely move…
I felt reasonably okay when I woke up this morning. Then I got up after my midday nap and discovered that my abs were so sore I could hardly get out of bed. Apparently, getting out of bed requires abdominal muscles! My arms and legs hurt too, and there was just no strength left in them.
Now I’m wondering whether another workout today is even possible.
The CD collection is complete
So much for leaving the collection as it was. I’d only managed to get the regular edition of the 2017 release Senaka Goshi no Chance, but I eventually found someone in the same city selling the two limited editions on Xianyu. I bought both, and now the whole set is together.

The cover of Limited Edition 2 is gorgeous! As for what’s inside, I couldn’t tell you. I’m firmly in the keep-it-sealed camp.

When I went home over the May Day holiday, I brought back a few CDs I’d left there. On the drive, the guy I adore asked whether we could put one on in the car. But those seals!
There was one exception: Love Yourself ~Kimi ga Kirai na Kimi ga Suki~, released in 2010. I’d been so excited when it arrived that I actually opened it, haha. Even so, I’d never played the disc.
After about two seconds of indecision, I figured we might as well listen. Better that than letting it become unplayable someday without ever having heard it once.
The moment the intro started in the car, all my memories of watching The Wallflower (Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge) came rushing back. It was the live-action adaptation of the manga, and Kame played Kyohei Takano—the character I’d absolutely loved in middle school. I remember being ridiculously happy about that casting.
And now I want to watch the drama all over again.
